GALA's HIV/AIDS Peer Educator Program is a multi-agency collaboration with the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services and the Office of Minority Health and Resource Center. The first group of peer educators will be trained on HIV/AIDS 101 on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the GALA Office. The training will be conducted by DPHSS CDC/STD Supervisor Bernie Schumann. The peer educators will learn basic HIV/AIDS to help others reduce their risk of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. A team of select peer educators will be trained to become certified OraSure Risk Reduction Counselors. For more information about the Peer Educator Program contact Glenda Hall at [email protected]

The Geeks were out on Friday, Aug. 12 to celebrate our 2nd Annual Geek Night. The event was held at Club Fab in Tamuning. The event included performances by the Fabulous Divas and drink specials. Special thanks to Fed Leon Guerrero, Martin and the staff of Club Fab for their generous contribution. Proceeds of the event benefited GALA.
